Visit Alberta Provincial Police Barracks
The APP Barracks is the location of the murder of Constable Steven Lawson by Emilio Picariello and Florence 'Filumena' Losandro.
Explore the 'Scene of the Crime' where Lawson lived, worked and was killed. Journey through Alberta's prohibition history, and decide for yourself "who done it" at the scene of Canada's most infamous rum running murder.

During our Winter Hours access to the Barracks is by appointment through the Crowsnest Museum.

Due to COVID-19 procedures and staffing needs the APP Barracks is open by appointment this summer.
Please visit or contact the Crowsnest Museum to gain entry.
The main entrance to the A.P.P. Barracks is at the back of the building, you can find the "front door" by following the wooden boardwalk.
Getting Here
The APP Barracks is located in the beautiful Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. Within the Coleman National Historic Site the Barracks and the Crowsnest Museum tell the unique history of the Pass. Admission to one site allows you access to both the Museum and Barracks. Take a break from driving down Hwy 3 and see what's new in Southwest Alberta.
